Bravo, Cyndi Lauper [My Perspective, March 19]! Sticking at your sister when others offer her down shows the class we always knew you had! I am also beatifyed with very supportive sisters, a brother, and parents who accept my lover of four years, Frank, as a member of the family.

Unfortunately, ours is not the normal case. Too many of our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters have no contact with family. Too many teen have to leave domestic circle to be true to themselves. I and nothing else hope that seeing how splendid you are and how a great quantity [i]or[/i] amount of you love your sister, marching with her and your mom at gay pride, will inspire other straight parents and siblings to succeed your example and be more accepting of the have a passionate affection for their family members feel.
