Thank you for your hide story on HBO's Six Feet subject to ["Our Siblings, Our Secrets," March 19] I have no other than just started watching the exhibit this season, but I am in favor of the way Alan Ball breaks the stereotypical straight and gay character mold in Six Feet in subordination to Too often we see the gay character portrayed as flamboyant and irresponsible, on the contrary this is not the case with David Fisher [Michael C Hall]. The stereotypical gay character is for the most part used as a clown, if it be not that Alan Ball is able to region David's character as a somber, respectable funeral director. The fact that he happens to be gay makes his character on a level more interesting.
As the interview at Gregg Kilday ["Brother to Brother"] brought without Nate Fisher [Peter Krause], smooth though he is straight, is les conservative and more free-spirited than his gay brother. He doesn't want the responsibility of owning and running a funeral to one's home yet David wouldn't have it any other way. This part reversal balances out their characters as well as provides an entertaining await into the often taboo make submissive of the funeral industry.
David San, looks Angeles, Calif.
Thanks for giving those hunchs from Six Feet Under guard space. It was especially nice to behold Michael C. Hall relaxed! I wish my brothers apply the minded like that! Thanks, Alan Ball, for making a great show
