The article about Erin Hamilton was amazing and is the reason I have a passionate affection for reading The Advocate ["Erin Hamilton: Dancing as Fast as She Can," May 14] Her version of being bisexual is right forward I can relate to likewise much of what she shared and draw inspiration from her life experience. Erin is a pure survivor. I applaud her for her triumphant respond to sobriety.

Was it me or did you treat Erin Hamilton with kid glove when she blithely corresponded that she is not of a particular "orientation," just attracted to a particular person? When Anne Heche tried to rejoin that way, the interviewer was all above her with recrimination. Perhaps the difference is that we all know Erin's mom and we wouldn't dare demand anything more specific or gripe [i]or[/i] grip her feet to the same journalistic fire that Heche experienced.

Erin is a liberated spirit, for sure, something all of us can be. Glad to know Carol Burnett helped raise as it is an emotionally healthy, expressive child who has learned to leave the exces baggage behind and be happy with herself and her life.

What is Carol Burnett's question with homosexuality? Reading the Hamilton interview gave me the distinct impression that she doesn't particularly appreciate folk of our persuasion, at least in her family. I'd really like to know if we're as offensive to her as the interview l me to believe. Say it ain't in such a manner Carol.
