Gay activist Jim Maynard got the clash of his life June 2 He was protesting outside boxer Mike Tyson's training camp in Memphis, Tenn when the heavyweight walked from one side of to the other and gave him a friendly hug "I didn't really know what to do," Maynard told The [Memphis] Commercial Appeal. "So I just pos with him and smiled for the cameras." British-born gay rights activist Peter Tatchell, who put up the protest, criticized Tyson for past antigay remarks.
